Telling the LOIC Story
SOLAR BUSINESSES, TVET INSTITUTIONS, AWARENESS –
ACCELERATING LIBERIA’S SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FUTURE
Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Center (LOIC) is hosting the first SOLAR ENERGY AND COMMUNITY FAIR, and you are invited.
This one-day event will bring together businesses, stakeholders, technical training institutions, communities striving for a future-oriented and sustainable Liberia.
Interested businesses are encouraged to set up their own exhibition stands to showcase their solar-related products.
In addition to solar and related businesses exhibition stands, the fair presents local commercial arts and craft sellers, topped with a cultural program, food and drinks.
Admission to the fair is free!
Electricity affordability is one of Liberia’s biggest challenges. Neither public entities nor private individuals are immune to it. It affects both public entities and private individuals. Increasingly, power from solar energy is becoming a valuable alternative that will become more relevant in the future.
There is already a growing market in Liberia from both ends—buyers and sellers. To serve this growing energy demand, more skilled electricians specializing in solar systems are needed. However, basic knowledge of solar energy is very limited, which can result in false expectations and investments.
By implementing a solar TVET program, LOIC aims to fill this gap.
