LOIC Gbarnga Celebrates Rainwater Harvesting Handover and Career Day/Trade Fair

GBARNGA – LOIC Gbarnga satellite recently held a combined event to celebrate the handover of a new rainwater harvesting system and the annual Career Day/Trade Fair. The event was a wonderful opportunity for partners, donors, friends, alumni, trainees, and staff to come together and celebrate the power of hard work and new innovations.

 

The rainwater harvesting system is a major milestone for LOIC Gbarnga. The system will provide safe drinking water for the campus. The project was funded by Abundant Rain Liberia, an international NGO that provides clean, piped water through rainwater harvesting systems.

The Career Day/Trade Fair was also a great success. The event featured presentations from various departments as well as cultural performances. It gave trainees the opportunity to learn about different career paths and network with potential employers. The fair was also a chance for trainees to showcase their skills and talents through the presentation of their work products.

 

In her speech, guest speaker Joelle Gordon called the event “Liberia 2.0.” She said that it was a sign of the progress that Liberia is making and the bright future that lies ahead.

The German Ambassador to Liberia lso spoke at the event. He praised the spirit and cultural performance of the trainees, and he said that he was impressed by the work that LOIC is doing.

The LOIC Gbarnga Rainwater Harvesting Handover and Career Day/Trade Fair was a day of celebration and hope. It was a reminder of the power of hard work and new innovations to create a better future for Liberia.
