LOIC Participates in National Youth Peace Actors Summit

MONROVIA – With elections coming up in Liberia, the Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Center (LOIC) was pleased to join the YMCA “National Youth Peace Actors Summit” on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
The summit brought together 500 young leaders from all 15 Liberian counties to discuss the importance of upholding democratic values and ensuring peaceful elections. The participants shared their ideas on how to prevent conflict and violence, and they developed a plan of action to promote peace during the elections.
LOIC was proud to be a part of this important event. We believe that young people are essential to building a peaceful and democratic Liberia, and we are committed to working with them to achieve this goal.
The summit was a valuable opportunity for young people to learn about the importance of peace and democracy. It also gave them a chance to network with other young leaders and to develop strategies for promoting peace.
LOIC calls on all Liberian youth to stand up for peace during the upcoming elections. We urge you to use your voice to speak out against violence and to promote a culture of peace. Together, we can build a better future for Liberia.
