Today, the Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Centers (LOIC) held graduation ceremonies for its 27th Cycle trainees. The event was held at the Sinkor, New Matadi Estate grounds of the LOIC Monrovia Satellite. It is the first graduation event of the LOIC family and a total of 217 trainees from eight trade categories received certificates for successful completion of the prescribed courses.
Very soon, the Buchanan and Gbarnga satellites will be holding graduation ceremonies of their own, which will bring to an official close the 27th Training Cycle of the LOIC in Liberia. A combined total of 500 young men and women of the 27th training cycle are due to be graduated this year.
The Monrovia graduation ceremony was attended by a variety of people, including family members of the graduates, LOIC staff, partners, representatives from the government and other dignitaries. They gathered to celebrate the success of the trainees, and the achievement of their hard work and dedication.
The LOIC program has been an invaluable lifeline, as it is designed to equip and empower young people from all walks of life with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the job market or to start successful and profitable businesses.
The program provides training in a variety of areas, such as auto mechanic, general construction, agriculture, tailoring, home economics, electricity, and so forth.
The 27th cycle of the LOIC training program is a testament to the success of the program, and the hard work and dedication of the trainees. The graduates of the 27th cycle serve as an example of what can be achieved with the right tools, resources and support. They have taken a major step towards a brighter future, and are sure to be successful in their chosen fields.
